Welcome to the blog for the Travels & Trevails of Julie Frick!

This blog was inspired and created as a way to keep in touch with those I work with, friends, and family while I travel. I am very blessed to have found work that I love as much today as I did when I started over 40 years ago.  I have no plans to retire, but while I am “young” and healthy, I want to add more travel to my life.  My desire to see the world was sparked in 6th grade when I discovered Geography and was fueled by TV shows such as “Wild Kingdom” (brought to us by Mutual of Omaha) and National Geographic. After college, I took off for a year, traveling through South America.  That experience has had a profound impact on my life in myriad ways and left me with a deep desire to do more traveling.   It is not easy in my career to take large chunks of time off work, yet that is the way I like to travel.  So, hopefully it will work to share my skills with people at home and at the same time to take breaks to travel more.  Hope you enjoy.
